The pads are in fact professional wipes with a totally different texture and composition from the classic ones, being designed to remove and retain residues of any kind, especially dangerous ones. These products are made in the form of polypropylene "blankets" treated with surfactants, which give them the quality of absorbing pollutants and repelling water. They have hydrophobic and oleophilic characteristics, therefore can float on the water for indefinite periods of time, during which time they progressively absorb pollutants from the surface.
